Andrew McGuire is Programme Manager within the IS Governance and Performance Management team. His main area of responsibility lies in developing thinking and delivering support and advice to councils and other Community Planning partners within the broad area of ‘collaborative gain'. This involves seeking to maximise the value added to service users through partnership working. The focus of the IS's ‘collaborative gain' work includes issues relating to outcomes, governance and performance management arrangements within partnerships.

Before joining the Improvement Service, Andrew was employed as a Senior Manager within Scottish Enterprise. Prior to this, he was Director of Economic Development for Glasgow North Regeneration Ltd. He has also worked in local government, with Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Regional Council.

Andrew has a BA (Hons) in Industrial Relations & Administration, an MBA and a PhD.
