Dot has joined the Improvement Service from Fife Council where she had responsibility for Workforce Development.
Dot initially took up a secondment to establish the current level of activity around workforce planning across Scottish councils and is now continuing to help develop workforce planning capacity. Aligned to this is work to establish skills needs in councils and liaise with skills organisations. She is working as part of the Scottish Public Sector Leadership Collaboration, a group of OD people from across the public sector, to jointly progress leadership development through the provision of programmes as well as sharing resources and access to development.
Her background is in social work both as an operational manager and in professional and vocational development, and more generally in organisational development.
