Loraine has had responsibility for Finance and Business Support since joining the Improvement Service in September 2006, on secondment from West Lothian Council. Within the Council, Loraine undertook a number of accountancy roles – including West Lothian Contracts Accountant and Group Accountant for Development and Environmental Services, playing a lead role in implementing the new Best Value arrangements that replaced DLO/DSO’s post CCT.
Loraine graduated with an honours degree in Science with Management Studies and went on to qualify as a CIMA accountant in 1996.
