In his role Mike aims to apply and encourage use of knowledge management techniques, processes and technologies within the Improvement Service and across Scottish local government in order to support communities of practice, facilitate collaborative working and ensure transfer and take-up of service innovations and good practice.
Prior to working with the IS he was an e-government consultant working with The City of Edinburgh Council specialising in customer services. Mike has held a number of managerial posts in the public and financial sector.
