Community Profiler is a data tool designed to help highlight the different outcomes experienced by communities across Scotland.
It provides data (taken from Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics) on communities within each Scottish local authority/Community Planning Partnership area. Community Profiler contains a selection of indicators that are considered key to understanding life outcomes including income deprivation, employment deprivation, S4 tariff scores, crime, child poverty, emergency hospital admissions and life expectancy, among others. The primary focus of the tool is to assess life outcomes for the most and least deprived neighbourhoods across Scotland.
A set of time series graphs have also been provided for each of the indicators which allow for comparison over time with Scottish averages.
If you are interested in Community Profiler, you may also be interested in Viewstat. Viewstat is a free online tool that converts data from Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics into a single map, allowing you to examine over 600 indicators by geography, from whole of Scotland level down to council area, multi member ward and neighbourhood.
