EVENTSDisabilty Equality Duty: Countdown to December 2006 - 10 November 2006, Glasgow The Disability Equality Duty lays a requirement on all public bodies to promote equality of opportunity between disabled people and other people. As part of the duty, all public bodies must publish their Disability Equality Schemes by 4th December 2006. This event will provide practical guidance and assistance for public bodies in the run-up to the compliance deadline. Focused workshops will provide forums for sharing practical knowledge, as well as identifying and disseminating good practice.
