Planning Development Programme
The Planning Development Programme is funded by the Scottish Government to help planning authorities address their shared learning and development needs. The programme is funded until March 2013. This final phase of the programme seeks to establish a sustainable approach to skills development that supports planning authority staff and members. During 2011/2012 the focus of the programme will be on:
- identifying and analysing options for a sustainable approach to skills development to ensure self-sufficiency within councils
- promoting more joined-up working with other agencies and avoiding duplication
- working with planning stakeholders to identify development needs (strategic and technical) and working together to agree how best to meet those needs.
