It undertakes a range of activities including policy research, production of publications, training, an information and briefing service, events and a consultancy trading arm.   • Centre for Public Scrutiny

    Centre for Public Scrutiny The organisation promotes the value of public scrutiny in modern and effective government. The site contains news; a library of prior reviews in topics such as community well-being, education and young people, external scrutiny, health and social care, and housing; a guide to the range of bodies engaged in public scrutiny; and a number of scrutiny-related publications.

    CIPFA in Scotland CIPFA is the only professional accountancy body which specialises in the public sector. The website contains training and event details, policy and good practice.

  • CoSLA

    CoSLA CoSLA is the representative voice of Scottish local government and acts as the employers association on behalf of all Scottish councils. The site contains guides to legislation, guidance papers, manifesto and policy papers, consultation responses and information on council leadership/political control.

  • Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs

    Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs DEFRA produces statistics in three areas: food and farming; environment and wildlife; and rural and countryside.
