Centre for Local Economic Strategies
CLES is a network of organisations involved in regeneration, local economic development and local governance. It undertakes a range of activities including policy research, production of publications, training, an information and briefing service, events and a consultancy trading arm. The site contains news, publications and events.

Centre for Public Scrutiny
The organisation promotes the value of public scrutiny in modern and effective government. The site contains news; a library of prior reviews in topics such as community well-being, education and young people, external scrutiny, health and social care, and housing; a guide to the range of bodies engaged in public scrutiny; and a number of scrutiny-related publications.

CIPFA in Scotland
CIPFA is the only professional accountancy body which specialises in the public sector. The website contains training and event details, policy and good practice.

CoSLA
CoSLA is the representative voice of Scottish local government and acts as the employers association on behalf of all Scottish councils. The site contains guides to legislation, guidance papers, manifesto and policy papers, consultation responses and information on council leadership/political control.

DEFRA produces statistics in three areas: food and farming; environment and wildlife; and rural and countryside.

The DWP publishes a range of statistics that provide information about DWP’s client groups, benefits, employment programmes, estimates of households living in poverty and other areas that the Department is responsible for.

The Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS) is a national data service providing access and support for an extensive range of key economic and social data, both quantitative and qualitative, spanning many disciplines and themes. ESDS provides an integrated service offering enhanced support for the secondary use of data across the research, learning and teaching communities.
