    Reform Scotland The website of the independent think tank that aims to set out a better way to deliver increased economic prosperity and more effective public services provides a daily political media summary, political bulletins and its own research reports.

  • Research Online

    Research Online This site, managed by Skills Development Scotland's Labour Market Research team, provides access to labour market research and analysis from around the world. Issues covered include learning and skills, workforce development, migration, equal opportunities, entrepreneurship and helping people into work.

  • Scottish Council Foundation

    Scottish Council Foundation An independent think tank providing analysis on key strategic issues facing Scotland: prosperity; governance and trust; learning; well-being; community; justice; sustainability; knowledge exchange.

  • Scottish Government

    Scottish Government The website of the devolved government of Scotland includes news, research, statistical analysis and policy reports on Scottish Government policy areas including the economy, education and training; environment; government; health and community care; housing and regeneration; justice; people and society; planning and building; sustainable development; transport; and tourism.

    Scottish Government Statistics National statistics produced by the Scottish Government provide an accurate, up-to-date picture of the economy and society to support the formulation and monitoring of economic and social policies by government.

    Scottish Parliament This site publishes research briefings on issues of Scottish Parliamentary business, including: children and young people; justice; community care; economy; environment; European Union; local government; Parliament and government; planning; social justice; sustainable development.

  • Social Services Knowledge Scotland

    Social Services Knowledge Scotland A social services portal providing a single point of access to social services information and learning resources. The site contains specialist topic areas on leadership, dementia, research, and child protection. It also includes tools and guidance to support individuals, communities and organisations in accessing and sharing knowledge and putting it into practice.

  • SOCITM Applications Register (formerly e-Government Register)

    SOCITM Applications Register (formerly e-Government Register) Contains information about e-Government software and hardware products and their use by UK local authorities. Data about e-Government related services, integration and partnerships is also provided. The Applications Register has been created by merging data from the eGovernment Register previously maintained by the London Borough of Brent, and the Socitm Application Software Index.

  • The Annual Business Survey

    The Annual Business Survey The Annual Business Survey (ABS), formerly the Annual Business Inquiry (ABI), is the Office for National Statistics (ONS) financial information survey. The survey samples UK Businesses, and other related establishments, according to their employment size and industry sector. The statistics produced help to improve the overall quality of national accounts and the measurement of gross domestic product (GDP).

  • The Knowledge Network

    The Knowledge Network A national online knowledge service for health and social care provided by NHS Education for Scotland. Formerly the NHS Scotland e-Library, it provides access to thousands of journals, electronic books, databases, policy documents, reviews, guidelines and evidence-based practice resources on health, social care and public management issues. Access to much of the content is free for local authority staff.
