Concordat between the Scottish Government and local government.
On 16 January 2008, Community Planning practitioners met at CoSLA to discuss the new Fairer Scotland Fund. This is a presentation on the fund itself, at that event, by Alisdair McIntosh, Head of Regeneration Policy of the Scottish Government.
The Scottish Executive has produced a new Community Planning Advice Note, developed by the Community Planning Team with help and advice from a wide range of stakeholders. The note explores the underlying reasons for and principles of effective engagement and includes illustrations of practice, information on various toolkits and contacts for relevant organisations. It also includes a framework for thinking through how engagement is planned at a CPP level, based on the National Standards for Community Engagement which CPPs may find useful in evaluating overall progress.
This report outlines the process for the development of the Community Planning Advice Note on Engaging Children and Young People in Community Planning, summarises the results of the consultation which finished on 24 February 2006 and outlines plans for printing and dissemination of the final advice note.
