Money Advice Service conducting first mapping of financial capability provision for children and young people

The Money Advice Service is conducting the first ever mapping of financial capability provision for children and young people, as part of its work to help better coordinate financial education in the UK.

It is inviting providers, funders, and commissioners to contribute to the first comprehensive picture of the financial education provision landscape for children and young people. It is looking for projects, services, training, resources, or educational products with a specific financial capability element – whether it be local or national, small-scale or large-scale.

The Money Advice Service will use the information to inform providers, funders, and commissioners about gaps in provision and encourage them to think about targeting resources and support in future. Ultimately, it would like to have a single place online where information about all the projects can be found, in order to promote the great work that’s happening.

Providers, funders, and commissioners can take part in the research by responding to the online survey. The deadline for submission of a response is the 4 December 2017.
