Developing efficiency and productivity measures

The project to develop a set of efficiency and productivity measures for use by all Scottish councils, is now well underway. Following the hugely successful collaborative event attended by over 60 representatives from 25 different councils, as well as representatives from COSLA and the Improvement Service, a virtual consultation, through a web-based Discussion Forum, is now taking place until 1 December.

Invitations to participate have been sent to chief executives, directors, and heads of services in all councils. They have been asked to comment on whether the nearly 40 measures which were drafted at the Event will provide good evidence of the efficiency savings being made by councils and whether there are any gaps or amendments required.

Further details on the project can be obtained from Mark McAteer at the Improvement Service at mark.mcateer@improvementservice.org.uk
