Martin Crewe - Assistant Director of Barnardo's Scotland - was the overall 2006 Award Winner for his work on the use of EFQM within the Scottish voluntary sector. At the recent awards ceremony at Stationers Hall in London, Fiona and Martin were delighted to renew their acquaintance, not only to discover that the were both recent post graduates of Stirling University, but to recollect when they worked together on a Quality Scotland Assessment team for the Quality Scotland Excellence Award in 2004.

Fiona Forster of Stirling Council who is currently involved in two key Improvement Service projects - the Public Sector Improvement Framework pilot and Continuous Improvement Group - was a finalist in the recent National Quality Award of the Institute of Quality Assurance (soon to become the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)).
Fiona's award related to research she carried out on the Knowledge-based sector in Scotland to identify 'The Internal Combustion Components' that are driving success within this key business sector in Scotland. The research formed part of a part-time masters degree in Total Quality Management & Business Excellence at Stirling University.
