The programme features as a case study in the European Commission's c:eGov study and was a master class at the study's final dissemination event held in Brussels in November.
The cc:eGov study was launched in June 2006 to look at user requirements in the changing environment brought about by the modernizing government and eGovernment agenda. The study focused on the changing relationship between citizens and the government, and used real world applications and initiatives to explore key issues and identify emerging strategies.Customer First was featured as an example of the power of an integrated joint service approach. Martin Brown, CRM/CA Programme Manager at the Improvement Service, was invited to speak at the Brussels event, which also saw the launch of the EC's Handbook for Citizen-Centric eGovernment.
