North Lanarkshire Council is offering free health MOT's to all staff within Housing and Social Work Services as part of the services newly launched Employee Wellbeing Strategy.
In line with the Council's commitment to supporting employees' health, safety and wellbeing needs, Housing & Social Work Services have implemented a formal Employee Wellbeing Strategy ‘Employee Assistance, Support and Information' or EASi for short.
The main aims of the Employee Wellbeing Strategy are to:

Introduce a single point of ownership and co-ordination for Employee Wellbeing matters;
- Improve communication to increase awareness of all managers and employees;
- Improve and develop the level and quality of information, resources and support services available;
- Create a forum in which the strategy can be supported and developed in response to the needs of the service
The core elements of the support and information available to all housing and social work services employees include:

- Money Matters
- Family Matters
- Employment Matters
- Attendance Matters
The introduction of the EASi MOT Days is the most ambitious initiative to date and will be provided free of charge to all employees of Housing and Social Work Services. They include:
- Braveheart Nurses (Cholesterol Check, Blood Pressure Check, Dietary Advice)
- Back Clinic
- Stress Management Advice
- General Health and Wellbeing Information
- Moving and Assisting Audit
- Manual Handling Audit
- Health and Safety Premise Inspection
