Council websites have evolved into core delivery channels according to a report from the Society of IT Management (SOCITM).
Better connected 2008 reviews the last 10 years' of local authority web development and includes a series of expert predictions about developments we can expect to see in the next 10 years. It reveals the top ranking websites and a wealth of information about council's progress in this area.
The report also includes results of usability testing of third party software, tests of access from mobile devices, and registration facilities as well as providing an update on an earlier survey about which council answerphone messages refer callers to their websites.
