Three Scottish councils and two partner organisations were honoured at the APSE Service Awards 2008 in September which recognise the best in public service delivery across the UK.
The Scottish organisations that won were:
- Midlothian Council - Best housing and regeneration initiative
- Glasgow City Council - Best partnership working (public/private)
- Strathclyde Fire and Rescue - Best community and neighbourhood initiative
- Tayside Contracts - Best environmental initiative
- Aberdeen City Council - Best service team: Construction and building
