South Ayrshire Council has become the latest Scottish council to adopt Lagan's Enterprise Case Management (ECM) solution in response to two key aims - increasing efficiency and improving customer service.

South Ayrshire is the 15th Scottish council to standardise on the Lagan solution and the latest to take advantage of the national framework agreement developed by the Improvement Service in partnership with Scottish local government as part of the National CRM Project.

The move enables the council to improve the level of customer service to the citizens and communities it serves and offers a real opportunity to make cost efficiencies through the establishment of a new contact centre through which the council provides vital services to South Ayrshire's population of 111,670.

Ian Woodburn, Head of Customer and Community Services for South Ayrshire Council comments, "South Ayrshire Council has committed itself to making major improvements in this area and we are confident that, with the help of Lagan and the Improvement Service, this can be achieved. Our aim is to not only bring services closer to the customer through a new contact centre and customer services centres across the area, but to benefit from the efficiencies which re-focussed and re-designed services can bring and we feel that the Lagan solution can help us in these areas."
