The Improvement Service joined Consumer Focus Scotland, Investors in People and representatives of the council's senior management on the judging panel.
The 2009 winners and the 10 highly commended finalists were presented with their awards by chief executive David Sawers and councillors Margaret Thomson, Alison Andrews, Helen Oswald and Colin Brown at a ceremony at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel on 19 June.
Speaking at the event David Sawers said: "It was a great pleasure to once again have the opportunity to celebrate the individual achievements that are helping the council meet its aims; deliver on its promises and inspire even greater success. I think the council is special because of our people, their skills and their achievements."
Council leader Bob Myles added: "We established these awards in 2007 to formally recognise the talent we knew Angus Council had. The past two years awards events have shown that we have that talent in abundance and this class of 2009 is no exception! It is fantastic to see the vision and ambition that we have for Angus translated into reality."
Martin Brown, The Improvement Service said: "As well as providing an enjoyable experience, the awards provided a genuine opportunity to develop a huge insight into a range of projects which are focused on the ground across Angus Council on delivering better customer outcomes. The level of commitment and innovation of staff was obvious to all of the judging panel. "
The event attracted sponsorship from the OLM group, Zurich Municipal, Sector Treasury Management, Chubb and Apetito.
