Customer service qualifications in national spotlight

Scotland's new professional qualifications for local government customer-facing employees are receiving national attention thanks to the latest SOLACE e-magazine.

The June 2009 edition of FOCUS has helped focus the attention of a UK-wide audience on the Customer Service Professional qualifications.

The number of Scottish councils and associated bodies participating in or expressing an interest in the Customer Service Professional qualifications for their customer-facing staff is growing.

The Qualifications are nationally recognised qualifications, Scottish Qualifications Authority certificated, endorsed by the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and portable across Scottish local government.

The Qualifications’ development is consistent with an ‘outcomes-focused’ approach to public service delivery within Scotland involving a shift from the traditional measurement of inputs and outputs to a clear focus upon the achievement of outcomes.

A copy of the June edition of FOCUS featuring the Customer Service Professional qualifications is now available to download.

Further details on the Qualifications are available by contacting Martin Brown on 01506-775583 or 07824-548407, visiting www.customerserviceprofessional.co.uk or emailing enquiries@customerserviceprofessional.co.uk
