How chief executives shape local government culture - report published

A new report looking at chief executives' perspectives on developing the right organisational culture for the future has been published by the IDeA and the Local Government Delivery Council.

The report, based on interviews with nine chief executives from councils across England, focuses on their role in shaping culture. The report also aims to clarify what cultural change is about and how it might be tackled, feeding into and fuelling a wider debate about the most effective things that chief executives, working with councillors, can do to help to develop a ‘fit for the future' culture in their councils.

A copy of the report, In shape for success? Chief Executives' perspectives on achieving culture change in local government, is now available to download on the IDeA website.
