Lagan and the Improvement Service are developing a Members' Portal to allow elected members to create, view and manage their caseloads using the Lagan caseload management solution.
The portal is being developed in response to enquiries from several Scottish councils about how better to handle elected members' caseload management using the Lagan system.
A growing number of Scottish councils are now using Lagan's caseload management solution to track and manage customer interactions, the vast majority of which are doing so as part of the Improvement Service's national framework agreement. This cost effective enhancement to the core Lagan product will be intuitive and simple to use. Critically, it will help elected members further improve their response to constituents through a consistent approach and a clear view of caseload requests across councils' operational areas.
The portal will include features such as:
- create and view service requests
- location assistance with integrated maps
- ward reporting
- case alerts
- mobile access.
An added advantage for councils already using the Lagan solution is minimal integration, which will result in reduced training and maintenance costs.
The portal's development promotes a common standard infrastructure and, to reflect this, a bid has been made for some national funding to help contribute towards its development.
