candidates as well as Improvement Service,
Scotland Excel and Renfrewshire Council colleagues.

Scotland Excel follows in the footsteps of a growing number of Scottish councils offering the nationally-recognised qualifications, which are developed by Scottish local government, certificated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), endorsed by the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and portable across all Scottish local authorities and related organisations.

All public-facing and business support staff will be offered the qualifications.

Dorothy Cowie, Scotland Excel Director said, " Although we have been in existence for just over a year, Scotland Excel has a deep commitment to providing high quality, responsive customer services to meet the needs of all of the organisations that we serve, support and work with. We are particularly delighted that we are the first public body - other than Scottish councils - to introduce the Customer Service Professional Qualifications which we firmly believe is further evidence of that commitment. Making certain our staff are fully equipped to meet the challenge of delivering excellent customer service brings benefits not just to the organisation but to its customers and to individual staff themselves."
