- North Lanarkshire Council, which has been a PSIF practitioner since 2008, has recently achieved its corporate Investors in People (IiP) accreditation. It hosted a workshop on 20 May to pass on its experience and lessons learned to the wider PSIF community.
- Interest has been expressed by a number of local authorities in piloting the PSIF as a mechanism for passing information to the Social Work Inspection Agency for an inspection. This is an exciting development in terms of realising the recommendations of the Crerar Review in 2007.
- The PSIF Learning Event for IiP and Customer Service Excellence on 20 May was well attended and identified the benefits of using the PSIF as the mechanism for taking forward IiP and Customer Service Excellence applications.
- Work has commenced on creating a specific PSIF framework for assessing the governance arrangements of Community Planning Partnerships. This will allow partnerships to identify areas for improvement and will help them ensure that the plans outlined in the Single Outcome Agreements are carried out.
