The Guardian is inviting entries to its Public Services Awards 2009, which recognise and reward excellence and innovation in delivering public services.

The awards are open to teams delivering public services, whether they are in the public or private sectors, voluntary or community groups. The categories are split into two main sections: service delivery and innovation and progress. There are separate awards for citizenship and volunteering and the Public Servant of the Year.

Further information on the awards and how to enter is at http://www.guardian.co.uk/publicservicesawards, or you can request an entry pack on 020 3353 2597.
