The Improvement Service in partnership with Renfrewshire Council triumphed in the 3rd HR Network National Awards held in Glasgow on 19th November.
The partnership was announced as the winner of the Strategic People Development Project of the Year Award in recognition of the development of Scottish local government's professional qualifications, the Customer Service Professional.
The HR Network National Awards are designed to recognise, acknowledge and reward the champions of the Scottish Human Resources profession and the individuals closely associated with this profession.
The development of the Qualifications has been possible through effective collaborative working across local government; exemplary leadership from Renfrewshire Council; clear direction from the National CRM board, chaired by Alex Linkston, Chief Executive, West Lothian Council; support from the Scottish Qualifications Authority and other partners including eCom Scotland Limited; and, of course, positive contributions from a number of individuals including Bill Pearson at the Improvement Service and Renfrewshire Council colleagues, Steven McNab, Michael Moran, Joyce McLean.
The receipt of this prestigious award reflects these many contributions and we value each.
Sixteen Scottish councils, with more in the pipeline, are now offering these SQA-certificated qualifications to their staff. Find out more about the Qualifications at www.customerserviceprofessional.co.uk
