The work of Customer First in improving councils' web-based services has been highlighted by Holyrood magazine in its March issue. In the article, Graeme McWilliams, community information development manager at Renfrewshire Council, talks about the efficiencies realised from using the Scottish A-Z (consisting of the Scottish Services List (SSL) and the Scottish Navigation List (SNL)), which was developed by Customer First.

The article goes on to mention further developments planned by Customer First which will benefit all Scottish councils.

It highlights the collaborative benefits that Customer First offers, particularly in light of the current financial challenges. These include:

  • Better quality public services - through improved collaboration and learning
  • Faster response - by delivering 'first time' public services
  • Enhanced credibility - improving perceptions of local government
  • Lower costs - by delivering public services more efficiently
  • Wider coverage - by ensuring people receive the services they're entitled
