A three month study to examine whether Scottish councils can work together on mobile and flexible working programmes has been completed by the Improvement Service.

The study identified six areas that could be delivered jointly:

  • initial analysis work
  • business case development
  • a change management framework
  • property related activities
  • shared use of technology solutions
  • a single approach to cultural change.

Six Councils in the south east of Scotland have agreed to fund the next stage of the work and other councils have expressed an interest in joining this partnership. The next phase of the programme will deliver several common solutions over a three month period.
