The council's website has had web-based forms and the online facility to pay bills for several years, but this recent improvement links the council's payment system to existing forms.
West Dunbartonshire Council will now launch a programme of work to extend this integration to other online service requests and systems in the coming months.
Craig McLaughlin, Convener for Corporate Services at West Dunbartonshire Council, said: "This is a first-class example of the council's commitment to our customers. By providing a 24-hour, 365 days a year access to booking services – we are using technology to provide better services to the people of West Dunbartonshire.
"West Dunbartonshire Council is committed to providing first class services to our customers and will continue to strive to enable easy access to these services."
Customer First is a £34.5m Scottish Government-backed programme to deliver more convenient and responsive public services, encourage online access to services and ensure that at least 75% of services can be handled at first point of contact.
It has been developed in partnership with councils, COSLA and SOLACE, under the auspices of the Improvement Service.
