Updates on three shared services projects - Diagnostic, recruitment portal and the public information notices portal - are now available. DiagnosticThe end of August saw the milestone for the final deliverable of the business cases, concluding report and high- level route map. We have now received half of the business cases, and they have been reviewed and summarised in preparation for a series of collaborative working sessions being held thoughout September and October. These workshop sessions have bee designed to allow for sharing between councils, to align opportunities with national initiatives and/or pathfinders, whilst establishing a network of people progressing similar opportunities, and potentially identifying areas for collaboration. Meetings are taking place with a number of Chief Executives and national initiative leads to take stock and determine next steps. Recruitment PortalTo date there have been close to 15,500 applications made through the portal . This is based on 900 live vacancies published on the site since 16th June. There are currently 16 councils live and using the portal with another five expected over the next six weeks. Public Information NoticesThe base development for the PINs Portal has now been completed. The pilot is expected to commence mid-October and run into November, with the five pilot councils: Glasgow City, City of Edinburgh, Fife, South Lanarkshire and Inverclyde. The IS are involved in ongoing collaboration with Scottish Government to review Legislation issues. |
