The Scottish Awards for Business Excellence are the most rigorous awards process in Scotland, designed to recognise organisations at different stages of their excellence journey. The emphasis is on establishing the organisation's current level of performance and assessing particular strengths and areas for improvement to help it in the pursuit of business excellence.

The awards are open to any Scottish organisation from the private, public or voluntary sector that has been operational for at least three years. Organisations can apply at any stage of their journey towards business excellence and, although assessment is undertaken using the EFQM Excellence model, they don't need to be using this to be eligible.
