Information and papers related to the OneScotland Portal have been published by the Scottish Government. The portal, being developed in partnership with the Customer First programme, is a signposting service that will provide citizens with a single point of access to public services and information provided by the Scottish Government, Local Authorities, agencies and NDPBs. There will also be links to key services provided by the UK Government. The aim of the OneScotland Portal is to make it easier for citizens to find what they are looking for across the range of existing public sector websites, removing the need to understand organisational boundaries. The portal will mean that citizens will not have to search for information across multiple sites or need to know which organisation does what. The portal is being developed in partnership with Customer First, using the existing infrastructure developed under the programme. The delivery of Phase One of the project will provide the strategic platform on which a potentially more integrated and personalised portal can be developed. This could provide a more seamless integration of service provision through the use of the Scottish Citizen's Account. Further information about the portal can be found on the Scottish Government website at www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Government/Open-scotland/publicsectorictpolicy/OneScotlandPortal . The page also contains links to the Project Board's meeting papers and the Project Documentation including FAQs and the Project Initiation Document.
