2017 SURF Awards open for applications

The 2017 SURF Awards are now open for applications. The annual awards recognise best practice and innovation in community regeneration.

The awards are open to any community regeneration projects that arecurrently in place or have been completed within two years of the closing date. The purpose of the awards is to:

  • recognise and reward best practice and innovation in community regeneration
  • promote and disseminate best practice across Scotland as means of sharing knowledge and experience, and thereby enhancing future policy and practice
  • highlight the role that regeneration projects have in improving the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Awards are given in five categories: community led regeneration; creative regeneration; Scotland's most improved place; youth employment: overcoming barriers; and housing.

The deadline for entries is Monday 18 September 2017. More information and application forms are available at www.surf.scot/surf-awards/.
