The agreement outlines how the organisations will work together to meet shared objectives. This will include pooling some resources and sharing learning and capacity.

A number of areas for joint working have been identified. These include:

  • Digital leadership for elected members
  • Encouraging better use of data across local government to support decision-making and innovation
  • Development of a digital strategy performance framework
  • Raising awareness and use of the Parents Portal across councils
  • Ensuring local government interests and opportunities are represented in the Online Identity Assurance Alpha Phase
  • Digital planning
  • Public health, in particular use of data and intelligence

The initial partnership agreement runs until October 2020.
