A NHS Scotland website that helps diabetes patients and their carers manage their condition has been commended at the National Quality in Care Diabetes Awards 2016.
My Diabetes My Way offers users multimedia resources aimed at improving self-management and access to clinical data through an electronic personal health record. It has been used by over 9,000 people.
The site was commended in the 'Digital and Technology Solutions in the Treatment and Management of Diabetes' category. Judges said, "This programme is 'on the money' and is a good , modern approach to support self-management, linking traditional care models to information and ease of access for patients".
My Diabetes My Way is provided by the University of Dundee. It uses the myaccount service for user provisioning and authentication.
