Nominations are now open for the Scottish Public Service Awards 2019, which celebrate excellence within Scotland’s public services.
The awards, launched by Holyrood magazine in 2014, are held in association with the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament and recognise the rich diversity of public life in Scotland and the vital relationships that cut across departmental, geographic, and institutional boundaries.
Nominations are invited from across the public and third sectors in a range of categories. For the first time, the IS has sponsored an award in memory of our late chief executive – The Colin Mair Award for Policy into Practice. This award will recognise a project or approach by an organisation or community-based initiative that has brought together various strands of policy exploration and applied it to a local issue to make a real difference in terms of practical delivery, user experience or costs effectiveness.
Nominations close on 4 October 2019. More information about the awards and how to nominate are at http://scottishpublicserviceawards.holyrood.com/
