PhD opportunity - using administrative data to improve neighbourhood environments

The Improvement Service, in partnership with the University of Stirling, has successfully applied for funding from the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science to jointly support an ESRC-funded PhD studentship.

The candidate will explore whether administrative data held by local authorities could be better utilised to transform and improve service delivery for their communities. The student will also work directly with citizens and community groups to understand how they interpret this data and can support its use in service delivery.

The project is due to start in October, with the successful candidate to be selected in May. More details on the project and information on how to apply can be found at https://www.sgsss.ac.uk/studentship/using-administrative-data-to-improve-neighbourhood-environmental-services-and-outcomes/
