The remit of the PSIF Operational Board is:
1. To undertake a strong, policy advice and decision-making role in the development and expansion of the Public Service Improvement Framework within the public sector in Scotland.
2. To support, provide guidance, and submit recommendations on future developments of PSIF to the High Level Advisory Group, and ensure that the intellectual capacity and integrity of PSIF is protected, and ensure that PSIF products and services are fit for purpose.
3. To review PSIF implementation against participating organisations, and report progress to the High Level Advisory Group ensuring that key deliverables resulting from effective improvement planning is supported by the knowledge sharing of good practice across the Scottish Public Sector.
The Board aims to meet every quarter and has clear terms of reference:
- Provide policy advice, guidance and support to the PSIF High Level Advisory Group
- Ensure that the intellectual integrity of the PSIF is protected and that all associated materials are current and reflect the environment of the public sector in Scotland
- Oversee all activities of PSIF participants ensuring that the framework is not compromised
- Agree all appropriate recommended technical changes to the PSIF presented by the PSIF Implementation Group
- Ensure regular review of PSIF implementation and success in each participating organisation to ensure that regular progress is presented to the High Level Advisory Group
- Ensure that knowledge, good practice and lessons learnt are captured and formulate a sharing strategy across the Scottish Public Sector
- Ensure that a communications and promotion strategy for PSIF is developed to support a sharing strategy across the Scottish Public Sector
