| Benchmarking for Improvement Toolkit |

|
This toolkit was developed in response to findings from research undertaken by the ABC Benchmarking Partnership. Managers in local authorities thought benchmarking was important but they sometimes experienced practical barriers when undertaking it. The toolkit aims to address some of the issues raised by the research through provision of opportunities for self-learning as well as facilitated learning to develop practical knowledge and skills.
The toolkit includes:
1. An introduction to the toolkit and reading and reference material for anyone to use.
2. Resources for public sector trainers (or other public sector facilitators responsible for benchmarking training) who are members of the Benchmarking for Improvement Community of Practice (you have to be a member of this group and be logged in to access these documents. If you aren't already using the communities platform you can register, and apply for membership to this group or any other): Our pilots indicated that attending an event will be valuable, even if you already have experience in benchmarking - so sign up for a facilitated event if you can. If you can't access an event in your own organisation, we may be able to put you in touch with other authorities who are running an event, or set up open events across different public sector organisations.
