Question of the month

How to join up budgets?

This month we focus on how to develop your understanding of this. We look at how to pool and align budgets, agree joint funding priorities and spending, and go about joint commissioning.

How to...support people to influence local service delivery?

Services should be based on a clear understanding of what people think of current service provision, and how they would like to see it develop in the future. This month we look at practical suggestions and experience to help you do this.

What’s new at the SCR?

• WE HAVE MOVING – our new address will be Highlander House, 58 Waterloo Street, Glasgow G2 7DA. Our telephone number will be 0141 271 3736

• The Seeing is Believing and New Ideas funds are currently under review. This means that no grant applications will be considered at the present time. We will keep you updated about further developments through our e bulletin.

• We have a brand new How to Guide on Joined-up Working. It will provide you with lots of help and ideas on how to work more effectively together. This will replace our How to guide on Partnership working.

• We worked with Scottish Government Workforce Plus colleagues and the three EQUAL Access Partnerships in Scotland and held an event on 24th January to share lessons from the three Partnerships' work. You can access the presentations made at the event and related information. You can also access the five Learning Points which describe in more detail the lessons learned by each Partnership.

• Our Learning Point on Collaborative Gain has just been published.

• We have just received the results of research we commissioned jointly with colleagues in Glasgow North Ltd. It identifies where and how Health and Regeneration partners have co-located services. The full report will be published in the New Year. Meantime we have published 5 Profiles of projects and approaches looked at in the research.

Guide to the Learning in Regeneration skills pack. The guide will help you to use the pack with individuals and groups as well as providing information about further support that’s available.

About the SCR leaflet summarises what we do and how we can support you.
