Welcome...
WELCOME to Dialogue Youth - Dialogue Youth was created in 2002 as a partnership between Young Scot, the National Youth Information Agency for Scotland and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (CoSLA). The initiative was funded by all 32 local authorities and the Scottish Executive under the banner of the Modernising Government Fund.
Dialogue Youth aimed to:
- improve cross departmental working and sensitise services to the needs of young people
- enable young people to access accurate information in appropriate formats and increase use of local public services
- engage with young people between the ages of 12 and 18 in ways that were relevant to them;
- empower young people through positive structures, cultures and attitudes to have a voice in the development of public services
Young Scot's innovative ways of connecting with young people were to be developed at a local level providing a network across Scotland.
A Dialogue Youth National Support Unit was established to support national and local developments.
