Community Planning Research and Information Group (CPRIG)

Community Planning is about public agencies and the community working together to plan and deliver better services and improve quality of life. The Community Planning Partnership has created a group to facilitate increased information sharing between community planning partner organisations. This website introduces information sharing activities supported by the Community Planning Research and Information Group.

Research and Information News: Click here for links to the latest research and information relating to Midlothian.

Profile of Midlothian: The main output of the CPRIG is an annual summary of statistical and other research information relating to Midlothian. Click Profile of Midlothian 2008 (PDF) to access the 2008 Profile of Midlothian.

Citizens’ Panel Survey: The Citizens' Panel is made up of a representative sample of about 1,000 Midlothian residents surveyed by postal questionnaire. The Panel is managed by the Midlothian Community Planning Partnership and therefore covers a range of issues such as Council Services, Health, and Policing. Further information on the Citizens Panel, and links to results of previous surveys, can be found here.

Ward Profiles: The CPRIG has produced profiles for each of the 18 old electoral wards in Midlothian, which can be accessed here. Proflies for the new multi-member wards will soon be available.
