Post Title: Employability Partnership Manager (Local Government – Scottish Government Employability Partnership)

Salary: £60,674 - £64,897 Hours: Standard working week is 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.

Location: Improvement Service, iHub, Quarrywood Court, Livingston EH54 6AX. Some travel will be required throughout Scotland.

Duration of contract: Two years. Secondments will be considered.

About the role

The Employability Partnership Manager will help lead Scottish local government’s input to the ‘Partnership Working Agreement for Employability’. This agreement set out the joint commitment of Scottish Government and local government to work together in order to better align and integrate services in order to deliver enhanced employability outcomes.

The Improvement Service is hosting this post on behalf of SLAED. The post is funded via a two year grant agreement with the Scottish Government.

The successful applicant will be responsible for helping lead delivery of the workplan agreed jointly between local government and Scottish Government. This will include a focus on developing implementation and delivery of new approaches, identifying and disseminating good practice and driving improvement in the design and delivery of effective services and partnership approaches.

The overall purpose is to drive improvement and transformation in the design and delivery of employability and related services to ensure that they better meet the - often complex and multi-faceted – needs of citizens.
