The Shaping Places for Wellbeing Programme has been running since 2022 and supports anyone looking to take a place-based approach.  Whilst the Programme is running until December 2024, the resources on our website will remain and a reduced amount of support will continue to be available from the Planning for Place Programme within the Improvement Service.

Our support sits at three levels:

  • Website resources:We have a full range of resources and tools available on our website that illustrate the support we have given others, their impact and how to undertake the same process. Our newest resources include our:
    • Place and Wellbeing Outcome Briefings webpage where you can find all of the Briefings from across all seven Project Towns in one place, including Clydebank’s complete collection of Briefings, which explain the evidenced impact of the Outcomes on the Clydebank community.
    • Project Town Summaries for our Project Towns of Alloa, Ayr, Clydebank, Dalkeith and Dunoon. They all give an overview of the work we have undertaken in each town up until June 2024. Click on the Project Town links above to read the Summaries in full.
  • Learning network: Where those leading change locally can come together to share learning. This includes four planned ‘Masterclass’ webinars showcasing what is working for others and exploring the key elements of a place-based approach.

Our first Masterclass webinar focuses on Place and Place-Based Approaches and takes place on Wednesday 18 September at 11am, this will be followed by three other Masterclasses covering:
    • Place and Wellbeing Outcomes
    • Data
    • Place and Wellbeing Assessments

You can register your interest for these Masterclasses now by emailing us at placeandwellbeing@improvementservice.org.uk

  • Bespoke support:we can provide a limited amount of bespoke support and training for anyone wanting more direct support. Get in touch to see how we can support you at placeandwellbeing@improvementservice.org.uk
