The Improvement Service has published a Year in Review, showing the most popular videos published by the Improvement Service in 2021.
In 2021 the Improvement Service published 87 videos on Youtube. The Year In Review video takes a few minutes from our most viewed videos that were published in 2021 and gives a sense of the topics that were significant to Local Government throughout the year. The video can be viewed as a taste of the video content the Improvement Service produces, and all videos featured can be viewed in full on our 2021 playlist.
Place was a popular topic in our videos this year, including community wealth building, 20 minute neighbourhoods and integrating land use planning and public health in Scotland.
Data was also a recurring theme, including geospatial professionals leading the way on data, how data can be used to understand child poverty locally, and a presentation on the Improvement Service’s work with National Records of Scotland to produce sub-council area population projections.
Other popular videos included an introduction to the IS Change Management team as part of the new Change Managers Toolkit series, and a presentation from CI Colin Convery on Police Scotland’s trauma-informed policing and care-experienced children and young people pilot.
