The Public Service Reform team continues to work with councils on their pathfinder projects on tackling child poverty. We were delighted to see this programme expanded in the recently published Programme for Government, with expansion to five new councils (North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, Perth and Kinross, Inverclyde, and Aberdeen City). While continuing to work with Glasgow, we will be engaging with those councils to scope how we will work with them to support the partnerships.
The development of performance management frameworks has been a focus of the team in recent weeks, working alongside the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership and North Lanarkshire Council to guide co-design sessions with partners. These frameworks look to evidence how changed approaches and partnership working in the short term are impacting long-term outcomes on child poverty and family wellbeing.
Our Community Planning Officer continues to work with members of the Scottish Community Planning Managers network during a period of “reset and refresh”, the main aim of which is to expand the offer of support available to CP colleagues.
