Simple terms explainer

If a person chooses to let the council manage their support, the council arranges and oversees the services on their behalf. This includes assessing needs, creating a support plan with the person, arranging care or other services, monitoring quality, and reviewing the plan regularly to make sure it continues to meet their needs. The person still has a say in how support is delivered, but the council takes care of the practical management, ensuring the services are safe, effective, and tailored to their preferences.
