Aberdeen City Council’s Music Service for schools is releasing a series of musical singalong videos to raise viewers spirits during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The first video features Anna Hamilton, a singer who normally visits schools to teach singing, giving a rendition of Let Me Call You Sweetheart. The video displays the lyrics onscreen to encourage participation among viewers at home.
Aberdeen City Music Service offers high quality musical experiences for children and young people across the city.
In normal circumstances, instructors visit all schools in Aberdeen and offer weekly lessons on a range of musical instruments. Online tuition is temporarily taking place during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Future videos will include The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen - also presented in a singalong format – Music Service pupils playing Danny Boy from their homes.
