This series of national spotlight webinars will focus on selected topics identified by the National VAW Network as crucial to supporting the delivery of Equally Safe and improving outcomes for women and girls. Each webinar will allow participants the opportunity to understand the current challenges, hear from examples of good practice, and discuss what actions are needed to support joined-up working. The webinar audiences will be a range of stakeholders across local government, VAWG organisations, and other policy and practice areas relevant to responding to VAWG, trauma and inequalities in Scotland.
This webinar will explore the experiences of women affected by VAWG in rural areas, the particular barriers that can affect access to safety and support, and how partnerships and services can develop effective responses across rural communities
