The planning team at Cairngorms National Park has produced an excellent accessibility tool as part of its ‘local living analysis’.
The Cairngorms National Park Authority local living map shows the accessibility of services and facilities across the national park. It has been created to help understand what local living and 20-minute neighbourhoods are and provide a consistent basis for local living analysis. It will inform the next Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan.
The interactive mapping draws on the Improvement Service's "How to map a 20-minute neighbourhood" guidance, highlighting the benefits of accessibility analysis. The guide provides step-by-step guidance on how to conduct a 20-minute neighbourhood network analysis using ArcGIS Pro.
